I can't believe I got away with it! after that merc showed up and blew my power base in savage spur all to hell, and followed up with the systematic destruction of all my remaining assets, I thought I was done for! I managed to get away from my carrier- In an M5. I mean, ME? Reduced to running for my life in a bloody Discoverer? Sheesh! guy had this ship that managed to do something weird with jump fields...But you don't get to be a pirate overlord without learning a few tricks of you own, and I cornered him in a split dock and shot him three times in the face at point-blank range, And I'll bet that didn't tickle! nabbed his ship and went to and old friend who was a bit of a specialist in new Identities. so here I am, Black hole sun, sitting pretty with one of the most tricked-out ships I've ever seen. I don't presume to know how but this guy somehow managed to mount freaking Khaak lasers on his ship! and sitting right next to the regular power is what looks like a modified Titan power generator! And to top it all off, there's a massive power shunt foe E-cells, and I've no idea where it goes!
ahh well. I think It's time I see if the argon government is needing mercs, I've barely 2500 credits to my name, and I can't even imagine the kind of...attention I could get if this thing was ever inspected! I think I'll stick with some nice, simple go here-kill this missions and get good with the feds, and hopefully line my pockets in the process....

Well, there wasn't any work there, so I'm heading to Nathan's voyage. Perhaps there'll be something there I could do, maybe offload some of these bloody meatsteaks. *muttering* swear I've got enough to last a bloody siege, what the devil did that guy need 'em for anyways?

Whoo! The PPC fab in Nathen's voyage needed cahoonas, so I offloaded mine onto them with a cool 9900 creds in profit. not bad for a starter run, If I do say so myself! Well, onward to glory! or better yet, trillionarehood!

well the trading station was having a sale on engine tuneings and I'm afraid I splerged a bit. My ship's up 25 m/s from before, but I'm down 9067 creds. I need to find a job, and fast! wonder If I could take out a few old rivals to make some quick creds...

HA! got you, ya little bugger! whups, this thing on? well anyway, I finally figured out what that power shunt goes to, and I can hardly believe it myself! some sort of suped-up jumpdrive. the center looks like a normal drive, but I'll be dammed is I know what all the rest of this is. looks like that shunt connects to the Titan plant too, and from what I can tell, the E-cell shunt is for a normal jumpdrive... but I couldn't see what all that extra power war for! but now I've found this! apparently, all the extra apparatus is an ancient device allowing instantaneous gateless jumps! Anywhere! any time! even between two points in one sector! It uses a collosol amount of power though, apparently It was easier to warp in with a standard jumpdrive, then hop around the sector drawing power for the short hops from the extra plant... no wonder this guy took out my entire organization!

Ancient Jumpdrive- sector-to-sector still requires E-cells to power normal jumpdrive, but in-sector jumps simulated with cycrow's "Warp to sector" command.
-Added Jumpdrive to installed systems.

Hahaha... as if I'm not gonna get good with the people that make ships on the same scale the boron build stations.... what a jive! anyway, I fully expect to be put on the most boring, humdrum, nonsensitive duty they can find, so I'm gonna skip work for a bit. maybe I'll work my way to argon prime, and hope the new ID holds up. eh, I dunno. I'll find something to do, anyhow, and It'll probably involve someone getting seriously dead.
