So with the new steam supported achievements and patch 2.6 I copied my game files into steam/steamapps/common and got steam to download what it needed (or at least didnt recognise), which was surprisingly little. Updated and it all works fine.
I start a new game as I read that achievements will be vanilla only and I've used a few scripts for a while now. I have no *modified* tag which is good and the game is going fine until I complete the flight school as a test and don't seem to get the achievement.
Just wondering after I check the 'Global Achievements' on steam to see 0% on every one, are they not active yet, is anyone getting any or have I just missed something?

I just started a new game as well and completed the flight school - no achievement, and I'm not modified (I was, but I deleted my scripts directories, let steam re-download them, and the next time I started the game the "Modified" tag wasn't there any more
EDIT: I've just checked, all achievements for x3tc appear to be 0% globally... this implies something's wrong, either with the game or with steam's backend

one question - when this is resolved, will we need to re-trigger any achievements (i.e. re-take the flight school) or will it pick up the completed achievement status from our save game when we load it? or are you not sure yet?

I just logged into Steam and it seems they have removed the achievements for now, probably for bug squashing.
