If you look on the latest x2 video, I think you see them in action as the first shots are fired at the khaak. They're purple/blue/white and go in a continuous beam (like someone said before). If they're for capturing, then I am going to have my own Ion Disruptor factories set up everywhere!

No worries mate, if you have a good modem then the 25MB one is well worth the wait...the video is worth it any size really. Shows you the khakk, and in this video you can recognise some older ships (like the phoenix when it flies overhead). It's cool, get it.

Seen that. Have that. I was referring to the description that i assume was released in the XNews. Those beams in the video never actually gave away what they were, so that wasnt the issue. :)
