newbie needs money cheat help

anybody take me through this script lark,with regard too
getting more money by cheating,and pls keep it idiot proof.
this pc lark is all new to me.thx guy's.

To access any script's inner workings requires you to 'activate' the script editor by doing the following:
shift+Thereshallbewings (you'll hear a beep of confirmation)
S>C>S (defualt short cut keys when flying in space to access the editor, it's in ship details and command console I think)
Once you get past the initial help screen, pressing button 1 on joystick or lef mouse or enter, well once you are in you'll see options, well a single option of new script unless you have others installed...in fact...

...in the dowloads, most popular section or most downloaded, you'll see a script named money fixer, download it.

Unzip it and copy it to the relevant folders, i.e if a folder is called t copy it to the exact t folder in X-2 and click on yes when and if it says overite. If this is your only script you don't have to worry about it overiting other scripts...too complex for post...

There is a readme in this script but once you get it running... Do as i said at the top, highlight this new 'option' and press r, press 1, following instructions in readme basically and you can give yourself any amount of money.


The best advice and instruction I can give you is to wait until they release the 'unofficial' official guide to the editor later this month but ultimately cheating in this way makes the game boring...Hope it helps and if anyone notices a mistake feel free to correct...

A great way money is to buy a wheat farm and put it in argon prime ... get a single ship to buy energy for it (I recommend a disco with full engine and cargo upgrades) and set the station to sell Wheat at that maximum price ... even though its slower then selling your goods at more competative prices, the game will buy from your station eventaully and you'll rake the money in ... I made 3000000 from a station in 1 days play doing that .... thats almost half way to a centaur ....

are you sure?
trust me, it sounds like carp - but this game is a LOT more fun if you play it.

anyhow,

go into the script editor, and create a new script with one line

add money to player: 20000000

and save it.

Trust me, you'll be missing the best part of the game - but Do As Thy Will.

sorry to keep troubling you m8,but i cant activate this editor im flying i type Thereshallbewings and all it does is activate is seperate keys
which are hot keyed to do various things in game!!!!!!!
im i doing something really stupid or what, anyway thx for the help it is much appreciated.

Make sure you are in space and flying. Do not type too quickly - if you activate a hot-keyed command you know you have messed up or have typed too fast.

I'm sure someone will e-mail or host a game at startip with the editor unlocked - failing that, I'm sure someone will unlocked the editor within your own game if you can zip it and e-mail it to them (be sure to advise what version and patch you are playing under)
