I have lost count of how mant times I have killed the mothership and then tagged on to Argon One to escort it out of the sector(s). We get out of that one ok, but as it insists on going through the west gate, which is several thicknesses of xenon territory I think, as opposed to two via the east gate, AND it creeps along like a snail in treacle, I still feel I have to stay with it - and sooner or later a xenon battleship slams into me while I am busy elsewhere, and that's it - back to square one! I tried going on to the next gate after I had ushered A1 through the first - and it got destroyed. I have tried just legging back to Argon Prime and leaving it to come back on its own - and it doesn't seem to appear; how long do I have to wait? Is there a QUICK way of getting this mission completed or do I have to keep trying?
After taking out the mother ship go after the the big Xenon ships you can take them out easy if you judge where they are going and then ease up on the gas and just wait for them to come to you, then you just have to take out the rest, it's easy if you use the zipper and then go and wait by the East gate and Argon one will come to you, it take a while as it's real slow.

it has to go the long way back, it has no choice.
meanwhile you can take out any of the destroyers that are
a menace.
what i did after comming argon one was to go thru the
west gate and play with the xenon until argon one appeared.
then go thru the next gate again playing with xenon till the
arrival of argon one, and so on and so on. it is a slow
process because the speed of argon one is abysmal
persevere gracie, you have done well so far for "someone

If I remember right, didn't the mothership mission start when you enter the sector with it in. I assume you have saved in Thurok,s Beard.
If so, you could always clear out the sectors by going East from Presidents End. Would take a while though.
The bonus by clearing the XM1s and XM2s before takling XM0 is, most of the time Argon1 finds his way back home alone after communicating with her. All you have to do is wait for her at home and you will get your reward. But make a few saves in between, just in case

yeah, it always went in circles when i tried to escort it, i ended up doing sumthing the same as u Faze ... if u want more opinions Gracie, id suggest just go set up more factories, taking the long way round, and killing all the bad guys in site

well I done it at last! I am probably the worst pilot the game has ever seen, but couldn't give up with all you cheering me on, however, I am puzzled now. I have got me 125 megawatt shield, but there doesn't seem to be anything left to do - and I can't go home, so is that IT or am I to keep X-Tension sitting on the shelf for a bit longer?? I am going to put this q as a new topic in case no-body comes back to this one now.
