ship swaping help

target mod D-Ships&Stns-CustMap-WithWares-V0.1.7e2.

What I wanted to do is add 4 ships from 2 other mods.

from the genesis mod I wanted adromida asendant, argon elite, split bearcat.

from Harlocks TGM I wanted Pirate Phantom.

hers my Problem. Iknow how to use the mod manager to alter ship stats and that it. I tried to read the stickie for this but messed up some where.

I down loaded x2.archiver.v1.02.by.mzach, and patch14. but I still dont under stand how to use these two tools .I feal very lost. is there any one
who could help? If it matters Im running on Vista.

Chris , in deadlys mod there are empty slots already that I could use
do I still need to open l\x2story.obj. because Iread that post you offerd
but I'm not sure I understand how to use patch14.

sorry to bother any body but this is my first time trying this my self.

Free slots are good, but they may not help you. The x2story.obj determines the amount of ships as well as the type of ships. If you use a slot that's designed for a M2, but you set the type of ship in TShips to a M5, your M5 will not be able to dock. The ship type in the obj-file and in the TShips should match.

You can skip the obj-file and test the ship. If it works as expected, there's no need to look at the obj-file.

But patch14 is easy to use. Load an obj-file, and check the type of ships. If it fits the type in TShips, there's no need to change anything. If you need to change the obj-file, change the ship type and save. Remember, you should change both x2story.obj and x2galedit.obj (and do not mix them).
