Patch confusion?

Hi,

I noticed that the version 1.4 to 2.00 patch was out so I downloaded it and it appears to run fine.

Then I saw that there was a patch 1.4 to 2.0a but that is for the dvd version, that I assume is for later dvd's not the original version?

What has confused me is that my original patch 1.4 to 2.00 is 158 meg but the new patch for the non dvd version, being 1.4 to 2.0a is 162 meg so should I be patching with the 2.0 to 2.0a patch?

Why is there a size difference if it is not for the dvd version?

Although I cannot see that hotfix on the downloads page!

Or have I got it wrong somewhere as usual?

if you click on the "download" for the 1.4 - 2.0a or 1.01 - 2.0a and so on button, there appears the hotfix for 2.0 - 2.0a in the next page on the top of the list ...

Now the question is still should I use that if I have an earlier version on dvd?

And what is the difference between the original 2.0 at 158 meg and the later 2.04 at 162 meg for non dvd users?

To patch or not to patch that is the question? )

The original 2.0 had the wrong exe and dll. 2.0a has the correct one.

If you've patched to 2.0 already, you can use the 2.0->2.0a hotfix to update to 2.0a.

If you've not downloaded anything yet, then 1.0.1->2.0a should work for any version, or if you're already patched to 1.4 you can use 1.4->2.0a.

They're all DVD versions, I think.
