X3TC Hub mission gate crash

Hi,

I'm inside the Hub at the point where Mahi Ma tells me to go get 150,000 Teladianium and when I try and go through any of the gates, the game crashes to desktop every time.

I'm running the 2.1 version and cannot find anything on this.

Would be very grateful for any help.

Sorry, mistyped. I used the 1.2 to 1.2.1 upgrade.

Any reason why you didn't continue patching to bring your game up to the current version, 1.4? But anyway, the link Carlo provided gives you the answer.

So, I updated to 1.4 and installed the latest graphics & sound drivers, but it still crashes to desktop. Any ideas?

Yeah. This issue has been fixed for 2.0. If you are stuck in the sector, some people said that ejecting into a spacesuit and re-entering the ship allowed you to exit the sector. Don't ask me why Give that a go.

I had this problem aswell. Been doing a DiD game for a few weeks, and yesterday decided to go back on my main game. I soon realised the HUB was a prison. It wouldn't let me out. If I jumped it would crash, if I went through a gate it would crash, then I jumped to Argon Prime and it worked... no idea why!

Hi all,

Thanks for the advice - the eject from ship and re-enter works sometimes, mostly with the gate to Treasure Chest and occasionally with the gate to Omicron Lyrae but not always.

Hope it's properly fixed in 2.0, but in the meantime I guess it's a case of save every time in the Hub......
