No factorys owned and a argon lifter tranding automaticaly

I have a argon lifter thats doing nothing and im flying about with my argon discovered trying to get some ships to sell (the ferengi in me) anyway i was woundering can i make it go do trading on its own so it is being useful and making my some money?

Something like 'Hey lifter go and get some cheep ore and give it to someone who needs it and get some money for me'...

If not i would love it if EGOSOFT would consider making a small patch for it to do just that. Or to have it in X2.

By the way i thought X2 was going to be released in 2002 anyone know when its going to come out then? Im in the United Kingdom by the way...

Hello. Firstly, yes you can remote trade. That is discussed fully in the faq. You have to do all the work I am afraid, for example, you can't just tell your ship to just go trade, you have to give it orders each time.

I hope to this is sorted out in X2.

X2 is ment, and stress on ment, to be finnished in a couple of months.

Which FAQ as i use EGOSOFT's FAQ by Brian Ronald.

I printed it also.

And i cant find anything about making transports like the lifter do auto trading

Would be good if people can list all the known FAQ's and maybe links to them so i can get them all and study them all

You can't use it to auto trade - you would need a factory of your own set as homebase.

However, you can remote trade, giving instructions to the Lifter in other sectors (providing you have the Nav Sats present of course).

While on the subject of Ts transports... I hope theres a a slave command so that you can remote trade in you're TL and the transporters will automatically go and pickup the cargo you've bought!

Thus the TL becomes more than just a tow for building stations! As I quickly got board of checking price of commodity, telling my transporter to dock at station, waiting... telling the Ts to buy the cargo and return to ship, waiting... and finally unloading!!!

One simple command! and it's streamlined! I hope it is! YES!!! I'll have All of my TL's flying around with their Ts's buying up the universes khaak repellent!!! I shall be the only producer!!!
