why could could not left the controlls the same as x2 iwas half way through x2 and had plenty of money with factories ship of all kind but i spent 6 hours last night trying to work the game out, they give you a crappy ship and it is hopeless againist any enemy ship you get blowen out of space rightaway.

Your poll seems unbalanced. Try "Bad, Ambivalent, Good" instead - you'll find that loads of players love the new controls and, with practice, you'll wind up in the same boat. Remember that X3 is a whole new game - you'll have to learn a few new tricks. Finally, you should be able to remap the controls in one or both of the X3 games - look into this!
