Missing Textures. Headquarters is Invisible

Having a problem with textures in the game :oops:

I feel like such a noob considering iv been playing x for so long and something so small is absolutely wrecking my head!

I spawned my headquarters after retreaving the orca for the bala gi missions and planted it in Vestigule of creation.
When I spawned it the thing was not there. i thought maybe it could be the fog in the sector but I tried getting up close to have a look and bumped it! its gone. the only things that show are a few black rectangles that look like they could be turrets. its tearing me up inside, something iv been looking for for so long is gone. Could anyone help me recover it?

My one guess is its a mod that im after downloading to get the Thanatos, he may have made a mistake, again, im a noob at this.

*update* seems the Tokyo is invisible too, bar the turrets. :(

If you have a mod installed then you need to take the problem up with the author in the Scripts and Modding forum. We can't help here.

Yeah but you see I was just wondering if anyone else was having the same problem as me.

Im not sure if it was the mod or not that has left my hq and Tokyo without texture.

Is there any way of fixing it for myself?

Once again, you are asking in the wrong forum. Unless and until you can reproduce the problem without the mod installed, the assumption must be that it is the cause. Any discussion of whether it is or isn't belongs in the Scripts and Modding forum.

I've had an issue of stuff dissapearing also... Hovewer i've found a workaround: Fly to an adjacent sector; save and exit to desktop; start the game and in an initial windows game menu, change textures and shaders to high(if you were already at high - change to medium) also make sure that Automatic Quality Control (AQC) is off; Enter the game and check if textures have reappeared, if not - repeat the process. Usually everything appears on the first try. I've had this happen before i installed scripts and after. :roll:
After you're done - change to your original settings

I just had this issue with an Argon Cattle Ranch L, i've stuck 2 of them in ministry of finance, i'm docked with them right now, but i can't see anything of them except bits of the clamps, and some conveyor buckets moving in space.

Game is completely un-mod'ed

i did some research into this a while back...

when your game gets low on memory it dumps 'random' chunks of memory. ie the planet textures (grey planet)

in this case it has dumped some textures for the base to make room for the last part of the base textures.

i use a memory manager in the background set to free memory when the cpu is not maxed out. the hard drive thrashing is about the same but the textures problem hasn't appeared in my game since. this also reduces the amount of times my gui pauses and reloads.
