Hi all,
I'm looking for a simple answer to a restore questions I have.
(game saves are backed up separately)
If I take a backup of the X3TC install directory (including my mods & scripts etc), can I then simply reinstall the game on a new machine, patch to the same level as the backup & then overwrite the current install files with the backup?
Just trying to think of a way to not have to worry about remembering all the mods & scripts I have installed.
Backup & restore question.

TC Problem.
Hi,
Yes, that sounds good to me.
I always copy the entire directory to another place or an external drive before I make changes or add patches just in case.
Then copy it back if there is a problem.

I think I'm right in saying that if you've backed up your entire X3TC game folder, mods and all, then you can just restore it without bothering to reinstall the game first. The only problem with that might be the size of the folder, but if you're backing up to, say, an external hard disk then that shouldn't be a big issue.

That's handy to know.
I guess Tages does it's stuff on first run then.
The install (including all files) takes AGES!
