BUY THE BOXED VERSION.
Never had any problems with it.
And for those that use stean that is just asking for trouble sorry but that is just the way it is i have never seen it working normaly.

Apart from being patently untrue since thousands of people (including me) have been able to run the Steam version without problems, it is not helpful to post things like "buy a different version" in the Tech Support forum when people are clearly asking for help with the version they already have.
