Save game still not working! Even with a replacement DVD

having re installed the game on lots of occasions, including following forum advice re turning off anti-virus etc etc. why is it still not saving/ freezing on docking. and coming up with total crashes; windows stating game not working attempting to fix the problem and then nothing happening! Getting really sick of ctr alt deleting and closing down all the time on windows task manager.
System: Dell XPS M1530 laptop, 500 Gig hdrive, Intel Core(TM) Duo CPU T8300 @ 2.8 Ghz, 4 Gbite RAM, 32 Bit. MS Vista Home premium SP1, NVidea GEForce 8600M GT. Macafee Virus Protection.

Have V 1.4 downloaded and using a replacement game provided by Amazon.

Never had this trouble on all the previous XBTF games!

In addition please check the start, control panel, administrative tools, event logs or similar in Vista and post the full error message?

Nobody advised you to get a replacement copy of the game; that was your idea. And you were asked last time to provide some information to enable people to help you, but didn't. Please do so now.

Could be just lack of writing rights to save game location (my documents folder).

Not that it should be since users should have full access to their own documents folder but windows does funny things sometimes.

If taking a screen shot does the same thing then you have some access right issues.
