Can't activate TC : connection forcibly closed by remote host

Hi, I just bought and downloaded X3 TC off of steam, but when i went to launch the game and activate it, i keep getting the message:

Server communication error: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

I've already sent TAGES or whatever they're called an e-mail, but it's been about a full day and still i have not heard back from them.

Is it just me? Has anyone else had this problem?

everyone is having it. The activation server has been down for a while now. Anyone who did not activate it before it went down just has to wait for it to come back up. I don't know when that will be.
