Problem naming ships and stations

When trying to name ships or stations i cant accept the name change.

If i press enter i just open up the menu on the left of the screen, am I missing something?

also the same problem setting the threshold for auto transfer of money from stations to ship.

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Are you saying that - if you open the Sector map and press 'm', then backspace to remove the name, followed by entering the new name and then pressing return, does not work ?

Do you have any scripts or mods installed, or a gaming keyboard with some fancy mapping feature, that could be getting in the way ?

Is the only keyboard function that does not work ?

I believe this is because you are using the numpad enter key, not the normal enter key.
If the numpad enter key is the only enter key you can use, you can try remapping the [open sidebar] function onto another key.

yup does not work, i can change the name in the box but when i press enter it does not do anything. I dont have any mods on, its patched to 1.4 and ive tried remapping the side menu still dont work =(

Just to clear up what OTAS said, are you using the number pad 'Enter' key or the QWERTY keyboard 'Return' key ?

its working now guys, i have not changed anything lol

realy strange, it wasnt working using either enter or num enter

found out that numlock was causing this problem.
with num lock on i press enter and it does not accept the name change.

turn it off and now it works fine

just thought id post this just incase anyone else gets this problem =)

Are you using a laptop? On some models that changes whether the enter key acts as the enter key or the numpad enter key.
