This is not game play a ship should not be outside the HUB!!!!! Its a bug!!!! but your right I should have posted this in tech support, Anyway I got him back lucky for me I had a buldric out there aswell so while I was out of the sectore I got my mammoth full of energy cells to jump to pos, he then landed outside the hub as well, then transferred the cells to the buldric and then to my beloved Osaka. So Im happy now, I will leave the buldric out there just in case it happens again!!!!

How is this a game play issue when there is no possible way for any ship to breach the hub walls without some sort of mod installed? I've run into this exact problem before however since X3TC is still broken I don't play without cheats installed.

Your question was, "Any ideas how to get it back?", which is about game-play. If you're reporting a bug, you should include what you were doing before/when it happened. You didn't so I think it was fair to assume you were after game-play help and move the thread. If you check the Forum Rules, you'll find one explaining that questions about moderators actions should be sent by PM, not posted in the forums. Please do so in future.

If you target the Osaka you should be able to take control of it via the mini-monitor and drive it toward the Hub. If you can get it to within 4km of a ship inside the Hub you can transfer e-cells to it and jump it out. Alternatively, does it work if you command it to fly to another sector while you stay out of the Hub yourself?

Heres how I fixed it!!!!pjknibbs wrote:If you target the Osaka you should be able to take control of it via the mini-monitor and drive it toward the Hub. Got my mamoth to jump and follow while I was out of the system then went back in!!! The Mamoth was also outside, BTW not possible to get to fly back to the hub as it was a whopping 4568km away from the hub itself!!!!!! as I targeted it. So then after this I transfered energy cells to my buldric which also decided to flee the nest, get it, anyway, I then transferred the cells from that to my Osaka and then jumped both ships out of the hub to another near by sector. Now I have learned not to leave a ship in there patrolling the system.
Be warned people

BTW if you want a pic of the Buldric out there just ask I have left it there

I have this all the time with stupid escort ships. what a pair of paranit hades were doing 3548km away from the only landable station in the sector I can only guess wildly at. Just use the destroy target hotkey to get rid of them. also it crashes if i try to use the target camera on them.

I remember when I was completing the hub missions I had 10 dolphins all head in at the same time and they got outside of the hub...
I took people's advice on it though and instally Cycrows script and got them back! (I then turned on "no collisions" and flew outside myself for a beautiful view)

Did you think to have a look at it in the 3rd person camera view while it was outside? The reason i'm asking is I'd love to see what the Hub looks like from the outside (although i suspect the exterior isn't modeled which would be a shame)

Target the Xenon hub station and use the third person view, you can just about zoom out far enough to get a view.Nyax wrote:Did you think to have a look at it in the 3rd person camera view while it was outside? The big that causes them to pop out of the hub puts the ships a long way away on the far side of the sun (or it did for me) so you can't see the hub that way.
