game says its Modified!

Hi, wonder if anyone can help me, I installed xtc from the dvd and patched to 1.4 a few days ago. All has been going well, however I notice that now in my pilot status it says im playing a modified universe.

Im not runing nor I have ever been using any mods nor have I used any of the editors!

Not a big issue , buut I kind of liked the idea of doing the game without mods etc for uplading stats etc.

Any help / ideas well recived.

Im using the Teran one. has me baffled. As far as I can make out all the save games say modified as well

Did you start in 1.0? That might be the problem

nup, wife bought me the game for xmass, loaded the dvd and applied the patch b4 I started to play.

I have started a new game (same start point etc) and the saves are ok i.e not modified. So if push comes to shove ill just have to start over
