Getting stuck inside stationary objects

I wonder if anyone else has this problem.

Sometimes when I hit a stationary object (factory or asteroid) I get stuck inside of it and die a horrible death several seconds later, rather than bouncing off said object as I would expect to do.

Is this a tech issue with my setup or a known issue?

I've had it happen too. Happens a lot if you turn into something - instead of bouncing back you just grind into it, meaning either a very quick death or killing them very quick (if its a weaker ship).
