Should I be able to fly through asteroids?

I cant mine any Nividum at all evry asteroid I try to mine all that happens when I fire at it with my mining laser is well nothing!!! So I thought I would see why and guess what I can fly into the center of the asteroid, so cannot complete hub mission. What can I do? :evil:

Are you running any scripts or mods?
