Hey all - a few of you may have seen me posting here a bit over the last few days, but today is the first day I've actually been coherent enough to remember where I am :P

The State of the Cesspool will be on tomorrow as usual, and I need to hear in this thread from those of you who are still having problems with the Error691.com server and/or the Cartel site.

/me turns the lights back down to a reasonable level...

Could I attend the Cartel Chat? Are there any times when people gather en'masse?

and.. oh, - will you be making any more ships etc this year? I certainly hope so :)

as for the Cartel server

hmmmmm
i get occasional connection time outs, even at college on the 2Mb Line

Genesis seems screwed - it is uploading my images in Ascii Mode :o which ultimatly reduces file size to 0Kb and destroys the image :lol:

mainly tho, the cartel server seems slow :(

Howdo me hearty :D

Grimm the problems I'm having with cartel website (forums particularly) is easily fixed my end, it is my firewalls addblocking and cookies control,

I've been experimenting and have found that it isnt just he site but images etc hosted on your server too..

ie a linked image on forum will come up with a white box and X.
hit refresh with addblocking and cookie control disabled and its fine..

:-? any ideas ? I don't have this problem anywhere else though..

strange I've never had it timeout,
the college 2Mb line may seem impressive but when you share it with 200 people it suddenly becomes a whole lot less impressive :D

i found that images i tried to upload were uploaded in Ascii mode - which in effect destroys it and produces the little red x

My situation was all my own undoings, my browser was packing up and not reporting information correctly. It's fixed now after several close downs. (IE isn't perfect)

Can't say I've ever had the ascii thing happen - that must be a pain!

Ok then - Genesis is on the mend as we speak, yes there will be a show tonight, at 9:00 PM GMT, and being hung over and being a vampire are two different things Oldman :)
