MK3 looses money.
I confirmed my suspicions this afternoon. My traders have been doing fine until the last couple days. Now they actually loose money. I had 130.5 million credits in my account. I left it on SETA and went to the gym. Two hours later I came back and I had lost a million credits. They have earned me quite a bit up till now, but now they have gotten stuck on stupid. I have shut them all down as I am capable of loosing money without any help. What other hidden time bombs are programmed into this game?

I had about a dozen of them running at the same time. They were all active; not parked. They were making money until about two days ago. If running SETA costs money (idiotic) I would think I would have noticed it a long time ago. As far as I know you loose rank running SETA, not money. I would like to hear a definitive answer on that issue.LV wrote:you lose money from leaving the game on seta not mk3
the trader will stop if there are no profits left in the sector
I have sat and watched my profits rise with SETA on and my traders working. Now all of a sudden I am loosing money. I fixed the problem with a trader script from another sorce.

I have watched the MK3 software loose money in a matter of a half hour. I have been running it for a LONG time, since the release. I just tried the Teladi auto trader script, but it makes the game run like a slide show. No, actually that is an insult to slide shows. It runs like crap, so that's gone.
As for SETA loosing money; I let it run all night once (I have tried a couple times but it crashes when you save, big suprise). I had 10x more credits when I got up the next morning. I made money.

That is the most likely reason. Another NPC ship sold wares first and the trade your ship was going to make is no longer viable. The solution to this is just to move your autotrading ship to a new sector (preferably one where it can sell the goods it is stuck with unless you remove them yourself first...)Holliday wrote:I think I know where at least some of my money went.
