Teladi Kite and Buzzard the same?

I was asked to supply a Teladi M4, but when the only difference is the colour of the pilots nail varnish, it makes the task subjective.

The Kite is an M4+, it can carry a lot more missile types,
so probably the best bet is the buzzard, probably....

but then there's the choice of buzzard -
Plain
Hauler
Vanguard
Sentinel
or Pirate (if you can capture one)

And just to add to the confusion the Kite Vanguard is an M4 not an M4+ it seems,
but has 25MJ shields whereas the plain Kite M4+ has only 5MJ shields (I'm confused).

It does look like the Kite has the wrong figures as these plus variants should have a bit more about them.
