Installing patch 1.3

Just a quickie. Is it ok to install 1.3 over 1.2.1 or should I prepare a fresh unpatched installation of the game?

I hope not as i don't really want to waste another hour installing the darned thing

It should be fine but it's always good to backup some savegames ;-)
