[BUG] Unable to do Terran Transport People missions.

Post by TheZapper »

Unable to do "Transport Single People" Missions in Terran Sectors. I have the 1.3 Patch (DVD Edition).

I'm in a Enhanced Jaguar (M5) with Cargo Life Support System.

The Employer confirms that he is "Now Aboard", yet he does not actually get on board.

When flying to the target station, the mission does not complete.

Thx.

Enhanced Jaguar (M5) has 'S' type storage and I believe you need 'M' in order to transport life forms.

Thanks for the tip; I'll try using a ship with "M" cargo hold.

Shame the game doesn't give an 'error' here (like it does if you try to take a TP mission in a non-TP ship, or take any transport mission without a cargo lifesupport system).

Investing in a Teladi Kestrel (which can accomodate M sized cargo) will help with Terran missions. It has a maximum speed over 600 and certainly helps compensate for the lack of jump capability just have to watch passenger numbers with the small cargo.

Considering that when not in use in this way it makes an excellent sector scout ship for advance warning of incoming enemies to your complex sectors and also is a quick fetch and carry for upgrades to other ships makes it still usefull when you arent using it personally for missions.

I was bitten by the fact that the 'Cargo Life support' is 'S' size freight but life forms are 6 units of 'M' size each. The Teladi Kestrel can carry 1-6 at 605m/s, which is good enough for most trips.

Note: A Teladi Kestrel on autopilot is a death trap.
