I realize this problem is related to Steam, but I have emailed STEAM 2x now over 2 weeks period already. I already own x2 and x3-R and have installed/uninstalled the games numerous times because I install mods-scripts. I was doing the same on X3-TC and then 3 weeks ago my motherboard gave out. I had to replace my Board and now I get a Request Refused by Server: Avtivation limit exceeded with this serial #"
I'm only posting here because its been over 2 weeks now and I sent 2 requests to STEAM with no response and I called STEAM directly and they refused to help me by phone support and said I have to wait for tech support to email me back. But tech support isnt emailing me back....
I emailed STEAM a copy of my purchse and order # and no reply back.
So my question, does EgoSoft have any say so or can they help with getting STEAM to reset my serial #? This is the worst decision I ever made on buying a product from digital download.
And what happens to legit buyers who install mods-scripts and then reinstall the program, can we not do that now because of a set # of activations?
Last request, is there anyway I can bypass the STEAM activation so I can play a game that I did legally buy? like with X2+X3-R, they have the no-CD exe file.
I just want to play a game that I purchsed... guess its my fault for not coughing up the extra money to have the discs shipped to me instead of buying from a digital store.

Read your PMs - I've sent you a message on how to proceed.

:EDIT:
No, not yet. There will be a patch in the future which will remove the copy protection. History suggests it will be released approximately one year after game release.Last request, is there anyway I can bypass the STEAM activation so I can play a game that I did legally buy? like with X2+X3-R, they have the no-CD exe file.

Re: STEAM ACtivation Issue
The vast majority of the time, this turns out to be the users fault for not actually submitting a support ticket, or trying to email support rather than sending a ticket. Be sure to go through the process completely and be sure that you recieve an email with a 12 digit confirmation code. When your ticket is in the queue, leave it alone because updating it puts it to the back of the queue. Normal response time is 3-5 working days.dhiman wrote:I realize this problem is related to Steam, but I have emailed STEAM 2x now over 2 weeks period already.
