what are spk files?

Am at a loss as to what exactly are spk files and using them ?

Being generous, I'll assume you found the file on a search, and didn't realise it wasn't an official Egosoft file, and so wouldn't know that it doesn't warrant a query in tech support.

Files with an spk extension are third party scripts or mods which are packaged using Cycrows package manager.

I suggest you read the stickies in the scripting and modding forum, as they should be able to answer any further queries you have.
