Looping jumpgate bug
I have found that if you enter a jumpgate with a ship that is fast, like the Kestrel, at full speed you will end up in an endless jump loop back and forth. The "soultion" was to enter the gate at slower speed, 400 m/s worked. Not sure if anyone else found this too.

I've only ever had the problem when I try to leave too fast, as stated. Holding tab while coming out of the gate in my Kestral will almost assuredly send me though backwards. It is funny though, as I sometimes do it on purpose if I had to cut my jump a sector short because I was short on energy cells.

Don't bash "tab" after exiting the gate. Hit "x" for a second then bash tab. I abused this quirk alot in X3R to recon Xenon gates before sending in the M2.

So, to sum up, this is a know bug that happens when the plume from your engine intersects the jumpgate horizon which think it is part of your ship and sucks you back in.
Well, it is not a critical bug per se if you know what to look for. But I was stranded in this bug for about fifteen minutes before I figured out what it was. As I said earlier, I never experienced this in the previous games although some of you did.
As for boost extension on M5's, I have found it very useful the times I attempt interceptor battle. I slow down a bit, let the incoming fire come and boost, get around and in for the kill shot.
I could get those kills other ways, but I like to use the M5s for other than recon some times
