my ships refuse to obey my commands (lol)

Post by Siagrim »

ive been playing this individual fresh start game for 4ish days and have been bribing ships and what not with the bribe a pilot script. today i captured 2 ships and they refuse to do anything except to use the order (delegated by themselves) to go to some random position in space. ive tried to tell them to follow me protect me dock etc. and after about 3 seconds all they do is revert to the fly to this position order. i do not think its a computer performance problem but a script problem. just looking for a confirmation or some help ahaha. thanks.

Since this is a scripting question it belongs in the scripting forum--Egosoft cannot provide support on third party extensions. Teleporting now.

I haven't tried the bribe pilot script, but I have found that some ships keep their old orders from before you captured them. I have only seen this when I transfer ownership to myself without ejecting the pilot first, one way or another (either via cheat package, bail mod, etc)

I have found that it seems to get fixed when I use the cheat package to switch ownership back to the previous owner, then force the pilot to bail. Perhaps that may help with your problem.
