Dual/Multiple monitors

I know that the game supports 2 and 3 monitor resolutions. That's all good. I have 3 monitors but they are all different sizes so spanning would probably look crap.

I'd like to use 2 monitors but instead of spanning across both... would it be possible to have the game on my primary monitor and the ability to bring up the sectors maps and other information screens on the secondary monitor?

it sounds like a good idea to me.. or am i crazy? is it even possible?

No, the game can't do that, sorry. It looks best on 1 or 3 monitors.
