I have costum galaxy map xml and 00749 bod file, 300 sectors MAP from author "Date Lejess"
http://radikal.ru/F/s48.radikal.ru/i121 ... 9.gif.html
There are full 300 sectors galaxy map, ok all works fine in game, but there are no all sectors connected with gates. I need galaxy map where are all 300 sectors 100% connected with all gates. I try connected in galaxy map xml sectors with gates where are no gates, but to show in game i need 00749 bod file, i try replace in game directory "cut/" 00749 bod and pbd files from bod_map v04, but doesn't helps, in game don't show my new gates. I understand, gates doesn't shows in game because in 00749 bod file are not all sector box connected with gates.
I dont have too many time and brain cells to creat itself 00749.bod file with all 300 sector boxs with all sector gate connection, so i need your greatest minds help, maybe somebody already was created something like that, or know how to fix this problem easy.
I was very grateful for any help and that very help me with my first mod.
X2 the threat never die, but live forever.
Need help with costum galaxy map 00749.bod file

I don't know if this 00749.bod has every possible connection build in. I never checked this because there are so many entries (I thought it has
).
I found that adding a connection doesn't show up in map immediately. It only shows up after starting a new game. Maybe that's the reason why it doesn't get displayed?
But anyway, be careful with so many connections. I haven't confirmed this (maybe someone else knows for sure), but it seems there is a limit of lines in 00749.bod that X2 can handle - at least for Mac. If this is right, it may lead to CTD if someone accesses the galaxy map....
I will take a look at the 00749 to check if all connections are enabled. If not, you're on your own (unless someone else is willing to do it), because I have neither the time to do it.
EDIT:
Ok, I checked the 00749 (guess this is the same as yours - from some russian guy): it has all connections built in. If a connection doesn't show up, this is due to either:
- you added the connection after loading the map
- some limitation in X2
- or an error in the naming of the parts in 00749.
