Crash On Building Station

I've got pretty far into my game and have avout 100 million right now, have a lot of stations etc.

When i try to make a new station now, after starting the Earth set of missions, the game just crashes to desktop... It's not done that before. Am running Vista, got 4 gigs of ram, 3ghz core 2 - And it does this after reloading saves and rebooting the computer etc. No error is given, just says it's stopped working.

Can anyone help with this??!! Argh don't want to go really far back with saves

Ok ive just seen on a different page to go to the external view, press 0 on the numpad and switch back to the cockpit - seems to have worked..
