When seta is on, ships out of sector no longer move
I was monitoring my trading stations with seta on, 6x and 10x, and after a short while, maybe a minute, all ships out of my sector stop completely, and i dont gain any profit from my stations anymore.
I had this problem with x3r, i THOUGHT it would have been fixed by now, but what is going on here? how can i fix it because that basically makes game unplayable for me.

stil having this issue with seta as low as 4x Not sure if it helps any, but when the ships out of sector all come to a stop, the mouse cursor becomes incredibly lagged until seta is turned off. Before the ships all freeze, the mouse cursor is completely normal.
The only scripts i had installed, were cycrows improved boarding script, and salvage software, and CAG
the speed seta runs at doesnt matter, it hits the same stuck point, though it hits that point faster at faster seta speeds.

Remove/disable all third-party scripts and see if it still does the same thing. Unless you can verify the issue with a totally unmodified game, we can't really help you. BTW, even though the scripts are removed from the scripts folder, they may still be running in the savegames. You may need to start a new game to completely remove their influence.
EDIT: Also, are any of those scripts from X3 Reunion? If so, it's highly likely the older scripts will cause problems in TC.

Have a great idea for the current or a future game? You can post it in the [L3+] Ideas forum.

it moves for me..
hey CBJ, why do you guys do not reply to topics were people are talking bout confirmed bugs?
you guys are aware that the game has a HUGE ammount of problems right? AKA , plot lines broken , bugs in every single plot line. performance issues, etc etc etc??
there is a lot of Broken stuff in the game that has not been fixed, and yet you dare to throw an arrogant reply like that?
thank you.

I don't reply to threads about plot-related problems because I focus on technical issues which might be solvable by sorting out system configuration issues rather than waiting for a patch. The guys working on the patch are monitoring other threads about things like plot problems and dealing with any confirmed bugs accordingly.
I'm sorry if you think my reply was arrogant, but it was just a statement of fact. Other people are not seeing this problem in either X3R or X3TC so it's very unlikely to be a bug.

That sounds like your PC is running out of resources and simply lagging out.Enuo wrote:stil having this issue with seta as low as 4x Not sure if it helps any, but when the ships out of sector all come to a stop, the mouse cursor becomes incredibly lagged until seta is turned off. What kind of specs does it have (or, better, a DxDiag report)?

I use a quad core amd phenom 9950, overclocked to 3.21 4 gigs of ram, and 4870 with 512 megs of ram.
I think i discovered the problem though, i have all my factories set up with a jump limit of 50 since by default (with no additional scripts installed), traders for stations use jumpdrives. When i reduced the jump range to sell/buy goods, it stopped freezing up while seta was on

Don't overclock if you want your bug reports to be taken seriously. Ever.
It actually sounds as if your CPU heat throttling is kicking in.

While normally id agree, my cpu temperature is lower than it is, running with stock speeds/stock cooling.
Also that doesnt explain why after reinstalling and adjusting jump limit of stations, it hasnt frozen up yet.
Now if only patrol sector commands actually makes ships attack pirates id be set for an acceptable level of gameplay!
