Split espionage and sabotage help

Ok so i'm at the part where you have to place the satellites in the split sectors and the problem is it doesn't work....i read on other similar forums that you need to place them with the same ship that you accepted the mission with....the problem is that ship is long gone...... now...is there anyway to work around this bug or am I stuck till a patch fixes this problem ?

As I understand it, the ship is not the issue - it's the guy you were supposed to be bringing along with you on the mission who was (probably) in the cargo hold.

If you never picked him up in the first place (because your ship didn;t have Cargo Life Support and cargo space) then I think he should still be at the station. If you sold the ship he was on, I'm not sure what happened to him!

thx for the reply....i remember i did had cargo life support on that ship..but i ether sold it or it got destroyed(with the guy on board) ...can't remember.... i really hope i didn't brake the plot by doing so
