Hi, so I have a factory complex setup, but I would like to swap out a smaller factory for a large one. Is this possible? I was hoping I could self destruct pieces of a complez at will, or dump them somehow?

The only way to remove a station from a complex in vanilla is to blow up the hub (which also destroys all the connecting tubes) and then re-build the complex with new CCKs.

However, note that you can''t sell a station once it's deployed anyway, so you may want to just add new stations (which you can do by attaching it to the complex hub using a CCK, as normal).

'Vanilla' just means unmodified.

See the scripts forum for info on how to modify your game (should you want to).

actually, is it possible to blow the factory i dont want in addition to the hub and ccks? i guess i want to start again in the system, without actually restarting the game

Sure, just select self-destruct from the command console. You need to be docked, but undocking swiftly afterwards is recommended
