Sold a "Fix and Run" Buster Raider

So, I was in my starting Mercury busing a load of nothing through The Wall when I noticed two Buster Raiders with "money missions." Wanting to get the heck out of The Brick, I decided to check if I could buy them. Sure enough, both were for sale. One perfectly new and too expensive, one stripped and 61% hull. I bought it. The pilot bails out and she turns green. I swim up next to her, bail, and fix her up with my Repair Laser. Next, I use my custom-mapped bail hotkey to enter her.

Now, I'm not sure if I was kicked due to accidental multiple presses of they key or if I was forced out. Either way, I was immediately plopped back out and the Buster took off in a straight line at her top speed of 79 m/s. I ended up having to chase her for over half an hour in my 100 m/s Mercury and catch it in-flight in my space suit to get back onboard.

She did not respond to any console commands. I selected "None" at least 20 times as well, to kill running scripts (as I've been told in the past). I set her as Wingman and gave hotkey orders to no avail as well. Also, it seems like as soon as she rocketed off, the Astronaut that bailed from her began chasing her as well. The Astronaut went a good 50km chasing her (I had to go over 250). As soon as I got back in the Buster's seat, the Astronaut U-ey'd back toward the nearest station.

I'm rather afraid to get back out of her again...I don't feel like chasing her down again...

Sounds like that pilot was trying to rip you off for a free repair.

I've heard of bump and jump but this is the first fix and run I've ever been told about
