Scripts on MAC version of X2
is there a way to add scripts to the MAC version of X2? I looked in the scripts folder, but the extensions don't match any that I have downloaded. mine are .pck while the ones I downloaded are .xml... are the any specific MAC scripts?

You don't need to convert or compress the xml files (to the best of my knowledge), you just place them in the script folder and they should work.
NOTE: You probably need to enable the script editor for the functionality of those scripts to be activated. There is a guide to doing this in one of the stickies at the top of this (Script and Modding) forum.

place the xml files in the scripts directory. job done!
scripts are created in xml format. They can be compressed into .pck's but it's not necessary to do this to run them.
Scripts you download from here should work just fine. They're mostly available as zip files which should extract into the correct directories.
