You've asked about mods here before mate
I'd say there's not many mac X2 players on this forum.
I have sucessfully played TBM-V0 which is easy to install as it is basically a sript pack.
I'm presently playing the ERH_MWM_redux mod in the custom map which is great fun.
Deadly DA's ships and station custom map with wares works, as does the universal mod V5 and then there's Top Gun 2.5.
All played on a Power Book G4 1.6 with 128meg graphics and 1.5RAM.
Cheers

Given that scripts/mods rely on X2 itself to run, then assuming your computer runs X2, it should run any actual scripts/mods you can find for download. That is assuming you have the proper decompression software of course.
If you are referring to running programs that will aid you in editing/creating game resources to make your own mods/scripts, then I am sorry to say that I haven't really seen anything that is written to run on Mac OS. Having said that you could always go the route of "virtualization" if you were serious enough about it. A quick google search brought up Parallels Desktop for Mac, and VMware Desktop for Mac as possible virtualization options. Either of these should allow you to run some version of windows on your mac, which in turn would allow you to run the current windows based modding tools for X2. You may even be able to find a slightly older copy of Windows('98, 2000) that someones not using, get it for dirt cheap(ebay) or free, and it should even run faster than a newer version.
