Really Negative Review Freaked me Out

X is coming in the mail...so I had to read a few more reviews to pass the time. I encountered a scary one that said travel between stations takes 10 minutes...and that you needed to play for an hour before you had enough cash to buy this SETA thing that speeds up time...please tell me he was exaggerating. One reason I ordered X was to get away from Battlecruiser Millenium's long traveling times. Or tell me there's a SETA cheat!

Infact in XT your starting ship is fitted with a SETA.
The dude doing the review clearly never traded in Energy Cells - it'll take you twenty minutes in XBtF to be able to afford a SETA.

I used to like sitting in stations when i first got XBtF waiting for the prices to change, dunno why and it never felt the same in XT. XBtF, to me anyway, was more trading than combat (not including the plot, ofc) where XT was more combat than trading. Both fun.

Thanks! So if its 3 or 4 minutes, and you start with a SETA, that works out as about a third of a minute? Thanks again! Big relief. I shouldn't pay so much attention to biased people.

I dunno if he was exaggurating, i lost interest before i got to the nearest station. Unless you know EXACTLY what to buy and where to sell it. you'll be taking FOREVER to get enough dosh for a SETA.

XTension is different. With the additional options your up and running double quick.

In X-BTF there's a very quick way to get SETA--fly to the equipment dock in the starting sector (it's the northernmost station), sell the 1MW shield you start with, and purchase the SETA device. You'll obviously be flying around for a while with no shields if you do this, but since 1MW of shielding means almost certain death if a Xenon takes a couple of pot-shots at you this hardly makes a difference...
