Universal Trader NPCs

Hi, I'm modding the X2 map by using the Doubleshadow Galaxy Editor and I was wondering what would happen if I put in sectors some NPC TS of the races, equipped with the Mk3 software and jumpdrive installed in the ship. :gruebel:

Once the game is started, would they behave like the player's UT, jumping around and trading with the stations but working for themselves (no reward and messages to the player)? :?

What do you think? Could it be feasible or the TSs would just become sitting ducks? :?

hi, as far as i know the script they wont work, but if they do they will use players money for trading and will add money the earn to players account.

If you want them to work as NPC you will have to edit the scripts and you need a script that will restart the trader if he doesnt find anything to trade.

Thank you. unfortunately I can mod but I can't script. I've tried to find some script that create NPC UT but I found nothing. :|

Try the above scripts...I've included a script that spawns multiple MK3 traders at LVL 24 (no need to worry about them finding something to trade at that lvl)..After spawing them, use the other enclosed script Q.Steal object.xml to change their race while they are working to whatever you want. Don't know if they will continue working as MK3's when changed to NPC though. Experiment around with the different races.
