From my limited personal play i noticed that its all depanded on location. SPP are great for making money in some boron sectors, in KE e-cells sell great. only problem is that you will need both supply and distribution ships to buy and sell for the station. personaly i like using Space Fuel stations due to the fact that you only need a ship to supply the station, booze sells itself.

I would place a SPP in KE, and few Space Fuel stations in say, Antigone Memorial. Its most important to look at the existing station settup in the sector you looking to build in, as well as the sectors around it, then figure out what has the greatest demand.

If any of this is incorrect, please correct me.

Wheat and Space fuel or Dream Farm and Bliss Place combinations are the best... you can put them anywhere where there is plenty of energy available and they will sell... (just set the price to average -1)... and use the L size if you can afford it!

Best Station

Every Race has a Resource that is very scarce and is very demanded. I can tell you (from Experience, 450 hours actually) that Argon need Meatstake Cahoonas, Boron Need Rastar Oil, Teladi Always Need Sun Oil, and Paranind Always need a lot of Soja Husk, You´ll find out what the boron Need.

Essentially, ANY Sector that you place a factory creating any of the above resources will make a fortune for you.

Space fuel statistically is amazing... second only to tractor beam fabs and the like; slightly hedging out weed plexes... for the man on a budget though, you cant go wrong with some Silicon, and plexing it out over time to include crystals and Ecell sell off. Or hording Ecells and rolling them into a fuel plex... 1mj shield plexes do well too, as there turn around is pretty good. Asside from that, its a matter of watching the local economies and finding a weak spot you can exploit. Soyeries in trinity sanctum... always a good bet, and cheap to get into; as an example.

the Meatsteak/cattle complex in Argon prime is a good earner aswell. Since you have LOTS of hungry factories. AP isn't bad ST training ground if you add Food and a SPP into the mix! Generally speaking refine food always sells, however seller ships are needed for maximum profits.

SPPs are great if you assign a CR to them. Then you can buy all the energy in the vicinity for lowest price and stuff up high priced energy into the surrounding factories via your superior logistics. So you have 1 small fast ship set to buy crystals at best price, which does not need a jump drive, and a CR which jumps in and out the neighboring sectors selling your energy. This noticeably powers up the whole area and as a result you can sell more of other wares. For me Spps are more of a tactical placement than a cash cow though, for fast roi nothing beats drugs and weapons.

In my game at least, I found 3 SPP in Power Circle. So, I built a Crystal Fab, and it makes quite a bit, nearly 1 million an hour.

I remember someone saying the basics about stations:

Check to make sure what you're building is needed in that sector, and isn't in the sector next door.

As it was, the nearest Crystal Fabs were in Argon Prime, Rolks Fate (or was it Drift?) and Kingdom End. Needless to say, mine is more convienently placed.
