What do the keys do???

Post by Zabre »

I have just finnished most of the long list of games I needed to play since upgrading and have only just reinstalled XT :D

Also tried to install my joystick but the stupid machine is not registering it as plugged in (nonsense).

So I started up XT and started a new game, and I sat there for 5 mins trying to work out what all the keys do. And gave up after trying to fly with them!!!

So how did I cope with keys before I got my nice stick???????
And any ideas on how to get it working?

Look into your Control Panel (Windows) and check your "Game Controllers" entry. If your joystick doesn't appear there, add it with the relevant driver if Windows hasn't already got one for it. After that, test and calibrate your joystick in the Controll Panel/ Game Controllers window and once it does work, restart your PC and this should work.

Cheers

I had the same problem, things to try:

1: installing newest drivers of the logitech site (I bet you've already done this).
2: select the Add Joystick option and choose your device manually (sometimes works)
3: Your not the only one haveing problems:

This guy seems to have solved the problem (really long winded and time consuming):

Hope this helps... you sould always ask Logitech (not so b`ad but they still woffle...):

Who also have come up with the longest answer for a simple question!!!

I got the joystick working after reinstalling my Via 4in1 drivers!!

Except every now and then I go into a spin that I can only get out of by twisting the joystick left and right a few time!!!!

I've got 2 (well, 1 1/2 now) that do exactly the same thing.

When I called Logitech about it.......they sent me a new one!

It's still sitting there in an unopened box.

So, I may have 2 1/2 doin' it now.
