Confused about transporting people, please help me

i dont understand at all how u make money by transporting people, like a taxi service as such. i dont even know how to pick them up.

iv been into the stations, well 4 or 5 and who ever i talk to doesn't give me an option to transport.

i also cant find how u sell things for money in trading. i buy something and no one will buy it.

Please help because im addicted to this amazing game but cant get its full potential.

For trading you need to look at what a station NEEDs.
At the begining its your best bet to BUY Energy sells from a solar poewer plant. If you fly East thru the gate theres 2 solar power Plants. Keep in mind that prices change all the time - try to buy them at a cheap price, 12 - 15 is ok i guess. Once you buy them look for stations that need energy cells for 18 credits or more each to make a nice profit. Youll have to land in each station to see what price they want it for until you buy a trading system extension ( lets you see factory prices without docking).

That will get you started.
