How do I build a script that will increase or decrease your rep with anouther race?

Ive tried quite a few strings so far, and a few combinations of strings, but I can't work out how to make a script that will make me more popular with anouther race. :(
Im trying to become friendly with the paranid to by the LFL, but since I wiped out 3 of their systems, they decided to declare war on me. And I wiped out the pirate base in the Paranid sector ages ago, and turned off station respawn, coose its anoying, so now there are no pirates in Paranid territory for me to kill.
Can anyone help me with a reputation script?

I sorted it out, partially. I can now make myself very popular amongst a race, but their individule ships, that I have attacked need to be specially scripted to friends. And to change my rep with a different race, I have to mod the script. All in all I think I may have sorted it out pretty well :)
Ill put the scripts on my site soon :)
