I'm not very familiar with this part of the board and i'm not really sure if it's the right place to post. So, mods, if anything is wrong i apologize.
As you may know i'm coding several pirate related plugins for X3 and those plugins include custom dialogues with pirate and yaki pilots. However i'm much better at writing scripts than as writing good english dialogues. That's why i would like to know if you'd like to write some of those dialogues (without the grammar & spelling errors i make). They will be included with propers credits to the author(s)
What's i'm looking for is 2-3 lines / sentences for each of the following scenarios with both pirate and yaki pilots. But, first, here's a quick description of both 'races':
Yakis : 'military minded' pirates. They obey to the Yaki Armada (called 'the Armada' by the pilots). Yakis are nomads. They lives in jumpdrive equipped TLs that sometimes refuel and hire mercenaries at pirate bases. Yakis fly in formations and uses military tactics.
Pirates: They usually obey to the Pirate Guild (called 'the Guild'). They live in pirate bases, jumping from the base to their target under cover and retrieving stolen wares and ships to this base. They do not use military tactics, and are more selfish than Yakis.
Player asks the pilot to surrender. Possible answers:
- No way i'm gonna surrender to such as you
- Ok, you've got superior firepower, but look at all my buddies in the sector. They are coming for you.
- Oh you're from the Guild, sorry i didn't knew (pirate only dialogue)
- Ok, you've got superior firepower, i'll leave you alone
- don't shoot, take my wares
- don't shoot, take my ship
Player asks the pirate for the location of the nearest pirate base / yaki TL
- (hostile) No way
- (friendly) Gives the base location
Player asks the pirate if he needs some help:
- Yes i'm under attack by a XYZ ship please help me and i'll give you some money
- Yes i'm going to attack the XYZ ship, help me and we'll share the benefits.
- The pirate guild (or yaki armada for yakis) has put a bounty on the head of mr X (for whatever reason you can think of) who has last been seen in sector Y. All nearby members are asked to hunt and kill him.
Pirates directly contact the player:
- Give us X credits and we may let you go in one piece.
I may need some additional dialogues later for mission briefings but let's see first if you're interested
