A few inquiries about Scripts I'm running.

Hi, all.

Wonder if any of you folks could help out a player who's been away from the game for a long time, just picked it up again after many months(possibly a year), and who's having trouble getting some scripts' features to work properly again.

Please bear in mind, I'm not quite a TOTAL newbie, and had used these things before quite happily, but it's more a question getting them to work right again, after so long away.

Okay, problem 1 relates to the TelCat(that's the Teleporter Catapult for quicklaunching fighters). I had it working fine when I played it last year, but this time around, the options aren't there.

Now, it's part of the Bonus Pack, so no script editor loading is required, and it should load in automatically when I run the game right? Well, I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I set all my Carrier's Novas' Homebase(s) to the Carrier, I MANUALLY gave them Jumpdrives and Transporter Devices, and of course the Carrier has both of those itself as well... but there are no TelCat options in the Carrier's "Additional" or "Special" commands.

Now, I cannot recall if TelCat was an upgrade one buys, or if it was part of a feature of one of the Software Packs(like "Special Command MK1") that I've already bought... but the Bonus Pack's ReadMe doesn't say. I checked.

I've just tried a search for "TelCat" in "X2: The Threat - Scripts and Modding", hoping maybe there was a thread on it, but it yielded 0 results.

Can anyone help?


Secondly, I'm curious about the advancement of Freighter Pilots running Commodity Logistics. Now they're doing their jobs fine enough, but not progressing up levels. I know that when I played before, they did, but they don't seem to be doing it now.

So I have questions about this:

1) What equipment do they need aboard ship in order to do the training courses? I usually buy just about EVERY upgrade when I get new ship, so I honestly think they've all got them.

2) Do they have to STOP their Commodity Logistics work in order to train? I seem to remember that they did it whilst they were working, but maybe I'm wrong?


The third thing:

Using the script editor, I have run the scripts for Advanced Trade Command Software. Now I know it's working because earlier today I found it on sale at the Boron Eqdock in Kingdom End(where I believed it's supposed to be), and at TerraCorp HQ(which took me by surprise). I bought it for 4 of my Mercuries at the latter.

But then, ten minutes later, it was no longer available, and I don't just mean it showed "0" under Stock, but the actual ref. to it had vanished(like "Military Personel"), and I've not seen it since. Is that normal? Does it "come and go"? You see, I always thought that ship upgrades(like Boost Extension and Triplex Scanner for example) were constantly available, unlike Shields and Weapons and so forth, but Adv Trader was on sale for a bit, then gone again.

Should that happen?
