im a new X2 THE THREAT fan im a beginner,so i need help.


first i could come to the 3. mission and even the broken gate!



but iam sticked there,i dunno what 2 do then???????????????


a monster mined up the broken gate area and i cant even aproach the gate.what must do i now?

and tghe biggest problem is that ;

what is the way of playin this game?
Trading founding earning money?

or fighting ???

and if it is the ''likking, does it only contain killin poor pirates:)?

isnt there anybase fight ??

plz i need help in both cases how to earn money or how to be a war pilot??

Got stuck there myself the first time out almost three years ago. You meed to use mosquito missiles to blow up the mines. Once they are all gone get close to one of the pylons and get out of your ship and get real close to the end of the pylon and wait for a movie to play. If it's the wrong pylon then float over to the other one and do the same thing there it will be the right one then since there is only two pylons. Mosquito missile is good to use against mine because they cost the least and can maneuver the best. You can target the mines by simply pressing next target key on the keyboard.

Hehe once I bought an argon nova from a shipyard and then went inside the shipyard trying to get into my nova that wasn't in any of the docks inside lol. Then I flew all the way outside the shipyard in my spacesuit and told the nova to come outside just so I could find it lol.

Figuring things out for yourself is the only real freedom that anyone has. And figuring out complex games like this is 90% of the fun. I'm sure you could find someone to send you a save game, but do you really want to?

Ok, enough with the philosophy. IMO the Nova is the best fighter in X2 and X3 if you're new to this. When you learn more and make more money you might check out the Mamba also. I think it had 283 speed in X2? But less sheilds and no rear turret. But I encourage you to try them all out, they all can be useful depending on what they are used for.

They only buy stuff if they need it. And it can change, sometimes you have to race other ships to get there first. Make sure you have "Remote Trading" software in your ship, so you can see prices before you land.

Sell shields at an Equipment Dock.

Best stuff to buy is often Energy Cells and Silicon Wafers(if you have a big ship). But make sure you get it at a low price, or you can't make any money.

Also, sometimes you can find a good deal on small guns, but don't buy unless it is near lowest price.

you come to a question of prefances...I like to use the TS mercury tha Elena gave you to be my c-sector trader. you have to get then mk3 tradeing system from the Terracorp HQ that you got it at. If you don't have enough money to equip it then run trade runs yourself and save up. To fix the hull take it to the Argon Prime shipyard and when your docked there you can repair the hull there which will speed it back up. After you have enough money and all the equipment you need in the merc, then tell it to sector trade and run off in your discover. It will send you messages when it cant make anymore money in that sector, then tell it to fly to another sector and start over. I like it cause you don't have to run all the trade runs yourself and can go onto better things.
In a short explanation, You can be whatever you want to be in the X-universe. Emperor, trader...whatever.
But you need money to buy ships, you need money to do almost anything except the plot, and even then you will nedd some money eventually to pass a couple of the missions.
For just starting out like you are, plan on buyin an M6 for combat, and keep your discover to dock where your M6 cant.
The Discover is really only good for docking at stations and larger ships, don't even think of combat with it or you will be restarting alot.

no problem, when you have played the game through once or twice you can try some of the mods, (new ships, more combat, diff sounds etc.) But I would recommend beating the game at least once with a clean game. Then you can download some mods from the Scripts and Mods forum.
If you have any more questions, feel free to ask, there is alot of people in the forums that have been playing this for years.
i am not one of them, but I learned the same way you are, playing and asking questions.
