Hmm.. Sector Showing?

I tried searching for this one a few times, but came up empty. Has anyone brought together a way to make the universe map display new sectors on the already-existing map? I've tried doing it even in the in-game Galaxy Editor, and it just pretends like it's not there. Any help on what to do (or what thread to look at) would be much appreciated. =)
