Finally no more Greetings-Messages...

Post by tschittli »

Hello

(I'm sorry, this was a Message for the german forum but
it's not possible to write there something and therefore
I add it here for you. It has just one small change for
english versions: the mentioned 49 - Files are german,
so you have to use the same 44 - Files.)

I assume that there are other X3 players who are annoyed
by the cumbersome greetings messages after docking to a
station. Now there are gone:

http://www.fundament.ch/X3ohnewillkommensmeldungen.zip
(Where can I add files here???)

Simply replace the File 00049.xml from the Zip-File with X3
ModManager in ...\X3 Reunion\04.cat.

My X3 ModManager has a problem with xml-Files: it handels
xml-Files always as pck-Files. The solution is simple: Rename
the XML-File before import to e.g. z.B. 00049.xml_, import it
and then rename it afterwards in ModManager again using F2
back to 00049.xml.

Below you can find what's changed.

tom

I just change the lengths of the greeting-messages:
From 00049.xml:

<page id="1271" stream="1">
...
<t id="102030" s="5210854" l="100"/>
<t id="102031" s="5214032" l="100"/>
<t id="102032" s="5219181" l="100"/>
<t id="102033" s="5224629" l="100"/>
<t id="102034" s="5229371" l="100"/>
<t id="102035" s="5235172" l="100"/>
<t id="102037" s="5242044" l="1739"/>
<t id="102038" s="5244283" l="100"/>
<t id="102039" s="5247829" l="100"/>
<t id="102041" s="5252801" l="100"/>
<t id="102042" s="5259521" l="100"/>
<t id="102043" s="5267322" l="100"/>
<t id="102044" s="5272920" l="100"/>
<t id="102045" s="5279024" l="100"/>
<t id="102061" s="5286385" l="100"/>
<t id="102062" s="5292156" l="100"/>
<t id="102063" s="5300512" l="100"/>
<t id="102064" s="5306345" l="100"/>
<t id="102065" s="5313877" l="100"/>
<t id="102069" s="5322897" l="100"/>

You can find the right id-numbers in the file
t\490001.pck, which is in in ...\X3 Reunion\05.cat.
(t\440001.pck for english)
Just search for 102069 and everything is clear...
