Jackson’s mind spun like an out of control Bayamon as he raced to catch up with the implications of the query.

“It’s a simple bloody question Jack,” Kaitrin snapped. “You’re in contact with him.”

“Hey,” Jackson raised his arms and took a step back. “I’m sorry Corrin got killed but it wasn’t me!”

“It was a Clan,” she spat back. “Kivvers don’t change their stripes.”

“Ah, Max, you’ve filled them in on the plan,” Jackson said. Max nodded.

Well, for the moment Max is on top of the game. Though, I think it is not going to be a stroll in the park. Hagman will have something up his sleeve, just not sure what exactly. The fight in the Split sector will be quite some spectacle, several XM2's versus one Split M2 and some Mamba's, that should bring Nyj down.

Doesn't say whos going to be betrayed. The obvious one is Hagman but, knowing Steve's love for more twists that the Monaco Grand Prix and sending us completely the wrong way, I'm not taking bets

Good point, there are quite a few "betrayals" possible in the context of the word.

If ever there was the potential for a follow up story then it'll be that Hagman somehow effecting his own escape and coming back to get revenge on Jackson (or something like that)... But I guess that'll depends on who survives

Well i'm not taking any bets on who survives, Steve can be very ruthless when it comes to character life expectacy

I do wonder what triggered Morn off tho!

Morn will be with Hagman, making sure the Teladi Gain base goes back into the hands of the clan. Morn herself may not even realise or know that Hagman is going to double-cross Law, perhaps not even bother. I am just curious how Max is going to deal with her.

Another great section! Looks like Law might be in trouble in the very near future and I cant wait to find out how Max is going to get the Xenon attacking

If Max can manage to keep the Xenon destroyer at bay for long enough to slip into the sector just before or after him then there is a good chance they may not be met by a lot of opposition of Law's forces. Yay, long sentence
